To provide children and adults in our community the opportunity to engage and connect with nature and the natural world, building positive experiences and developing independence, resilience, self-esteem and confidence.
To support participants with their holistic development (social, physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual) through outdoor experiences, risk taking and play.
Hello, I’m Nikki, the person behind what you see at With Nature. I am a parent to two girls who love being outdoors and getting muddy. We love playing and exploring together! We’re based near Canterbury.
I’ve always loved the outdoors. I love the beach, and I love being in the woods, both are my happy places. I enjoy crafting with natural and recycled materials and can make something out of almost anything!
I’m a qualified primary school teacher with over 16 years’ experience working with children in a range of different settings (SEND, mainstream, private, alternative education, activity clubs) and in a variety of roles. I left teaching in 2022 to follow my heart and begin following my dreams of becoming a fully outdoor practitioner.
I’m also a qualified Forest School Leader and Wild Beach Leader (and an archery instructor!). I am a trained Outdoor First Aider and Youth Mental Health First Aider, both our physical and mental health are equally important.
In August 2025, I launched With Nature, a community-focused Forest School that encourages families, and individual adults and young people to spend time outside and engage with nature. Sessions are aimed to enable each unique individual to feel safe and seen, alongside supporting them to discover new ways to build connections to nature and the wellbeing and mental health benefits it provides.
I work throughout the year, embracing the changing seasons to build resilience and a deeper respect and understanding of nature (and to show that fun is possible even when it’s not sunny!).
Building and developing Nature and Ocean Connections are at the heart of everything I do. These connections help us to develop a deep understanding of the world around us and support our mental health and wellbeing.
